QUEENSBORO FC II BECOMES USL-A NORTHEAST CHAMPIONS

In their inaugural academy season, Queensboro FC II makes history by becoming USL-A Northeast champions and is set to compete in the National USL-A Tournament in Tampa Bay, FL later this year.

October 4, 2021 (Queens, NY) - Under the Saturday night lights at Deborah and John Danzi Stadium, players and staff of Queensboro FC II (QBFCII) could proudly put on the t-shirts that made it official; they had become champions of the USL-A Northeast division in their first year as a team.

This achievement comes after a long streak of victories, as the team has not lost a single league game since May 15th 2021 against Ironbound SC - a loss they recently avenged with a 2-0 victory. With strong leadership and guidance from Head Coach Diego Gomez, the team is now preparing for the National Tournament in Tampa Bay, Florida. The national tournament will see QBFCII face off against the other regional champions throughout the country, which will undoubtedly be a tough test for all involved.

Until then, the squad will look continue to work hard and finish the regular season strong.

Saturday's win against Morris Elite SC certainly was one for the books with goals from Nikolas Vidal, Piero Elias, Damien Barker, Nestor Cabrera and two hat-tricks by Joel Favard and Matthews Tejeda to make it 12-0 at stoppage time. The fans that came to watch Queensboro FC II got to witness the fast, free-flowing, attacking soccer with a focus on constant movement and quick touches. These have been recognizable features of this Queensboro FC II team, as the players have developed stronger connections throughout the fall season and grown together as a team.

QBFC is devoted to excellence at all levels. Our coaches and technical staff have the highest level of soccer education, and deliver a superior coaching experience that promotes core values including commitment, teamwork, sacrifice and respect.

Our club teaches more than sports; skills learned on the field are tools for personal development, which is as important as player development. As part of our training, our system presents its students opportunities for international travel and cultivates cultural literacy.

Queensboro FC II have two more games left in the inaugural season in the USL-A Northeast Division. Both will be played at Deborah and John Danzi Stadium in East Patchogue October 16th and October 27th at 6:30PM. We hope to see you there cheering the players on as they make their final preparations ahead of the national tournament.

Don't miss out on the last opportunities to see the team create history live and in person. VAMOS!
